Privacy Policy

Alexander Innovation Centre ("AIC", "we") is committed to handling personal information responsibly, in line with the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA. This policy explains what we collect on alexic.ca and how we use it.

What we collect

• Contact form submissions, name, organization, job title, email, phone and company website (both optional), inquiry type, company size, and your message. Submissions are stored in our lead-management system and delivered to our team by email.
• Email correspondence, anything you choose to send to hello@alexic.ca.
• Event registrations, handled by third-party platforms (e.g. Luma) under their own privacy policies.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this website.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and route it to the right AIC team.
• To follow up about services, events, or partnerships you asked about.
• To supplement an inquiry with publicly available company and professional information, helping our team understand the organization, verify the correct business, and prepare a relevant response. Automated research is flagged for human review when the match is uncertain.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except service providers needed to operate this website and deliver messages.

Retention & your rights

We keep inquiry records only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@alexic.ca.

AI & client engagements

We may use automated tools to organize an inquiry and research publicly available business and professional information. We do not use this process to infer sensitive personal characteristics, and our team remains responsible for reviewing the result before acting on it. Responsible data handling is also part of every AIC training, implementation, and ALEBEX AI engagement. Client projects are governed by their own agreements, including privacy review, approved knowledge sources, AI disclosure, and human escalation policies.
